SRY: Have to correct not to give funny ideas about the compression; When compressed it will not show on MP4 player. So maybe we should be better off with better MP4-player rather than this piece of crap that brings so many problems to us all.

This mvs converter is really bad. once the videos are converted, the .mvs file generated is larger than the original file. Eg: i converter a .mpg file (40mb)into a .mvs file and it generated a file 71mb. Its really bad because with that size you can’t store many videos on your player.
Somebody here on the forum told to download a Super converter that after converted to a smaller file it would be good because the .mvs file will be smaller. Thats a lie. Indeed, when you convert the files using super a 40mb .mpg file is reduced to about 7mb .mpg file. When you try do convert this 7mb .mpg file into .mvs it grows back to 71mb.
So here’s my advise to those who want to buy a mp4 player, dont buy it or do like me, use it only for playing mp3 files because you can store a lot of files. Furthermore, yif you are reading this post it’s because you’ve already bought a player so all i can say is Sorry. You were made a fool like me.
Everyone who wants to buy a mp4 player, should buy a model that plays .AMV and not .MVS ou .MTV . The .AMV file is really small whereas .MVS ou .MTV are at least twice or three times larger than original file.
As a solution for playing videos, I have a 1gb sd card that i put all the videos converted with Super (40mb original) into (8mb converted with Super) and i play them on my palm.

Take care and dont buy mp4 players with .mvs format!!!!!

I’m having a problem with downloading it as download speed from site is only 1.2KB/sec!!! so they must’nt have broadband.
Have been downloading now for two hours and have only 40%!
Is there an alternative site? as I could not find one?

I finally got it to download, taking 6 hours!!! and extracted it to my mp4, but it’s no different, and I still have no font or music control.
Please advise what you did to achieve success???????

migsue Guest | Hi, when i try to download first time , i cancel because it´s too slow. but next day i try again and it´s fast, a file +/- 16Mb. after extract are 2 files (DICT.DCT 18.865KB and fant.fnt 2.285Kb) i only copy this 2 files to the player, turn it on and the icons and the fonts are there. i hope works too you .
Verify the size of the files. maybe a problem whith download!!!!

MVS formating a bit strange, creats a larger file than the original, depends on the sampling rate.
Compression is dissabled in MVS ver. 2.
Tried other recomanded programs from the forum, like replacing MVS. exe file with one from ROCKSOFT, didn’t work.
Downloaded another recomanded MVS program, gave a runtime error, than after instaled the original MVS converter it worked, but the picture was smaller than 1.8”. Other wise I can make a 35 meg file out of a 135 meg setting compression 3.
Even converting it to a small MPG2 first, wouldn’t make a big difference.
So anything new with this MVS software?
Is the 3 version out yet?
Creating 100meg files out of a 3 minute video, not very practical for a small player like these.

WTF kind of converter is this?
I know AVI, DVX are highly compressed video files, can convert a 4.5 gig DVD into a CD size, near DVD quality video. But even converting from 6.5 meg AVI, the same file to Ipod, size only grow to 25 meg, which is quite exeptable and memory user friendly.
I bought this MP3 player, because the OLED, Orgenic screen, didn’t think Chines programers are still in the stone age, when it comes to video convertion software.
Also, bought a 1 gig SD card, try to formated in the player, but locked up the player.
Formats the 128 meg built in memory OK.
What is the maximum external meory card this player can use?

Checa estuve checando todo al respecto del aparato y mejor le mande un mail al que los vende y me dio una direccion para bajar un programa que es mas reciente y te ayuda a cambiar la extencion de los achivos. solo que me imagino que para no gastar y volver a quemar el cd no lo mandan con el software apropiado y la ultima version.
ummm.. bueno yo converti unos primero si queres bajalos y checas si funcionan.. no tengo forma de probarlo por que no tengo nada que reprodusca esas extenciones de archivo.

Problem is after converting I played the MSV file in Windows Media PLayer - At first it did not recognize extension - I played anyway and it worked great. I then uploaded to my player and it appears as grey lines with the audio. I have tried many times on different files with the same result. PLEASE HELP
