eek Guest | Just received an mp4 player in the post. I installed the mvs converter from the disc but when i goto convert anything the program crashes with the message
“Runtime Error!
Program: ...ram Files\MVS Convert(TFT1.8)\MVS Convert.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information."
Anyone any ideas?

blablubb Guest | @ eek
i dont know why, but on my pc its the same, while at my friends pc it works.
@ robrossi
i have the same problem, but i found out that the compression is disabled because the manufracturer knows that only the sound works with the tft1.8 when compression is used. But for some reason they didn’t fix it before they sold it, nor did I find a patch so far.

Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 17 Apr 2006 Posts: 8 OFFLINE | Hey guys,
I have been reading many posts and after multiple attempts and many issues resolved i am still unable to play MVS files on my new S1MP3 player. Thank you to all the posts that helped me get the software running in English
For starters, this is my player:
http://www.crhub.com/hyfai/product/hf-5008.htm
It is a great player and does a fantastic job at playing the mp3s. The built in speakers are simply fantastic! The radio tuner works great as well.
I am using MVS Multimedia Converter 2.02 for 1.8 TFT. This is the software that was provided on the CD with the player.
My problem is that even once i got the converter to function, after waiting an extremely long time for the conversion to complete, the files will not play on the player. I have tried a small WMV file and a large AVI file for the conversions.
From what i have read, the problem may be related to the 1.8” screen; however, the utility that i am using was apparently designed to accomodate this.
When uploading the file to the player it plays distorted sound and constant lines across the screen, making the video unaudible and not visible.
Apparently, this utility is the only one available for converting into MVS format. Would it be possible for me to play MTV or ASV files on my player? From what i understand, based on my current firmware i am limited to MVS format. I have no problem using MSV as long as i can get it to work.
Any help or suggestions in getting my player to show video would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Aron

I also had the same problem. Apparently 2.00 doesn’t work with a 1.8” screen.

Rocksoft, i applied the updates from your site.
The english one worked like a charm.
The one for the compression wont allow the conversion to begin. It shows “error!" in the start menu icon and just remains idle.
Running the conversion now, with a bigger AVI file, the program self-terminates at about 80% completion
Running it on a small WMV file, it completes, but i see all lines and hear noise when playing it on the player. Playing the converted WMV file (once in MVS format) in Windows Media Player also shows full distortion in video and sound.
Thanks.

the answer was already listed higher up in this thread, but once again as mentioned, try reinstalling the font (may have to guess through the empty icons)

By default the compression level slider has been removed on the 1.8” mvs software, because when you set a compression level to 1 or greater, you will get distorted videos. This is why it is grayed out in the first place. It’s a bug on the software that they didn’t fix.
But for educational purposes, you can download from our site a work around to unlocking the compression level. Just download our file and use our file to adjust the compression level, after you’ve set the desired level, exit our file and use the origial mvs (1.8” version) to encode your videos.
You will now notice that the compression level has been adjusted, although you can’t adjust it using the 1.8” mvs converter. To re-adjust level, simply re-use our file.
In short use our downloaded file just for adjusting compression level and use original MVS 1.8” for encoding.
But you’ll be disappointed with the results. This is why it was locked at no compression to begin with.

Pedro Marcolino Guest | I’m having a big problem with one of these mp4 players. I get a “no flash” error followed with a “format...236” . I can’t access or format the embed memory.
Does anyone knows how to resolve this problem?
Thanks for the time.
Best Regards,
Pedro
