Hi Leoslat,
The problem isn’t the firmware, if you want a perfect movie you have to set “Compress level” 0
( If you open the MVS converter and click on “SET”
you can change it). If you set it to level 0 you will have a perfect movie on you mp4 player but.... if you do that the file gets bigger

My advice to you is to find a software that can retract the firmware and reinstal the software. These tools can be found through this website. These tools are available for amv players and my guess is that they can do it. Second find a player to try it on. I will bet it is possible.
So dont loose hope:-)
Regards

from reading the posts on this forum, you appear to know the ins and outs of the mvs system.
I also have such a player from china and am amazed at the quality of images, indeed I use it mainly as a photo album.
However, I would like to use it for videos also.
I have the converter loaded off the original cd, have entered the reg code, and I get an operating window with a series of buttons, but unfortunately all headings are in chinese, likewise with the help file- all chinese!and as I don’t speak chinese, am at a disadvantage.
I have tried clicking the buttons, but usually end up with a windows freeze.
Is there an english language version you could send me ,or point me to!
Yours in anticipation on St Patricks Day!

for the tft 1.8 you can use the mvs multimedia convert 2.02 for 1.8tft although the compression item does not activated, the compression is set to zero when you choose simplifed chinese or english to install. this means that the vedio will not distort when you play in your mp4 player.
if you want to use in english interface, you can copy the user.ini provided from joanSB and replace the file under the X:\program files\mvs multimedia convert for tft1.8\
then you can use english interface
