First sorry for my bad english.
I buy a mp4 player from china and the file extension for the vids are MVS, its the same MTV and MVS?
The mp4 came whith MVS Multimedia convert program but the file size of the converted videos are so big. The program have in the setup one option for compress the video but there is no activated and the videos come whith no compress.
Anyone know this file type (MVS) and this converter (MVS Multimedia convert) and know how to active the compress option?
Anyone know other program for convert to MVS video?
Thanks

1. With the software that came with it, it will not install if you dont have Window Media 9 or higher installed.
2. When converting, check the setting. Some MP4 has setting for 64x64 or 94x128 or something like that. Try all the setting.

Hi folks,
I had the same problem. I found out, that .mov and .mpeg files turn up (relatively) smaller than .avi- files e.g. The thing is, that on the convert tool (2.00 version), the compression lever (under the upper line, where You set the frames/sec.) is not active. This probably, because the program does not include the option. We should mail to the producer, that the compression does not work...

Hi
Can anyone help me out with a video converter that comes bundled with some Chinese made mp4 players ?

The program is called: mvs multimedia converter Version 2

I have version 1 and it does not work for me and I have been told there is a version 2 out there that should do the biz hopefully.
Possibly it could be emailed to me or a link provided.

Thanks in advance

I bought a MP4 player from China and cannot play other video format.I came to realise from a Chinese friend that it need to be converted to the MVS format then input into the player.Only this way it can work. There is a mini cd rom supplied, guessed that’s the conversion software.I am in the midst of experimenting with it.Until then when the results come out, let you all know.

I’m sorry for my bad english. I have a mp4 player. But when i make MVS files, there are very very big. For example: when I convert a 30Mb video file with MVS Multimedia Convert 2.02, this file became 90Mb MVS. Do you know a solution for this problem?

I’m also having great fun with this MVS Multimedia Converter. My version is 2.02

I originally installed it, and managed to convert an avi file to MVS, and play it no problem. The problem came when I had to reboot the PC and next time I ran the MVS software I got “Serial Number is used by other!"

Not finding a way round it, I removed the software, rebooted, then reinstalled. This time it didn’t ask for a serial number?!? Again, when trying to run the software I got “Serial Number is used by other!".

Has anyone else experienced this, and got round it??

Has anyone found any other software that can convert to MVS.

Any help, then please e-mail me at rob.grace@lycos.co.uk

Many thanks, Rob
PS. I have read through the other comments, but got no where from them.

Hi folks,
I from Russia and i buy this player some days ago...

about firmware.
well... this china player really nice stuff, have many unpublished and hidden subprograms smiley like games and other video format supports.
look in root directory, u must see files - “sunplus.bin” this main control subsystem and firmaware, check version - latest version 1th Dec, 2005. if not - upload new firmware and reset player.
