mpjg fourcc codec?

Downloaded corpse bride but inable to play in media player or divx client. Only recieve coloured bars and divx wants a fourcc mpjg codec. I have searched and installed some fourcc codec’s but still no luck anyone have any ideas or point me in the right directon

Can you double check the fourcc with a diagnostic utility like Gspot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot) or avicodec (http://avicodec.duby.info)? I’ve never seen mpjg, but if it’s mjpg, then it’s the motion jpeg codec. You have several options: 1. update to directx 8 or higher (current version is 9c http://www.microsoft.com/directx), 2. play the file in quicktime player (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/standalone.html), 3. play the file in virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org), 4. buy a commercial decoder from one of the companies that make them (10 to 30 dollars, depending on where you get it - here are some links http://www.pegasusimaging.com/picvideomjpeg.htm http://www.mainconcept.com/codecs.shtml http://www.leadcodecs.com/Codecs/LEAD-MCMP-MJPEG.htm http://www.morgan-multimedia.com )
