regulus Guest | If you go to www.fraps.com and download Fraps, it will install the fps1 codec on your system by default. The codec itself is Windows-only; if you’re like me and you’re trying to edit on a Mac, you’ll have to convert the video to a supported codec on your Windows machine using VirtualDub or ffmpeg.

Many kudos to you Jeffro!! Perian did the trick nicely.
Coupled with Quicktime Pro you can export to a file format that allows editing in iMovie or Final Cut etc. Nice...
Cheers,

deleet Guest | The solution doesn’t work on my Vista ultimate 64-bit. I tried the two newest verions of Fraps, but it doesn’t install the codec.

deleet Guest | I found a solution. Find a friend who has Fraps working. Get him to find the codec file “frapsvid.dll”. Copy it and place it into your system32 folder, in the windows folder. Then it works. Tested with Vista ultimate 64-bit.
