floyd1979fan Guest | Sowhy do these camera manufacuturers insist on using quicktime MOV format when they know darn well that corporate users can’t use anything than the paid for Microsoft corparate stuff. A large percentage of the real paid up users use Microsoft stuff and corporate networks don’t let 3rd partt crap like quicktime or other non standard plugins on their precious networks. So, manufacturers if you read this...get a grip we will STOP buying your cheap rubbish unless you start LISTENUNG. PLEASE USE A INDUSTRY STANDARD MOVIE FORMAT. AVI ! not some rubbish thrid hand format this is not supported anywhere (Like MOV)

TimVa1 Guest | The Bink & Smacker’s Rad Video Tools worked perfectly for me converting MOV to AVI taken from a Kodak camera. I next converted it to MPG-1 in Nero. It also has different compression levels to allow for what your intent is in final use i.e. email DVD etc.
I definately plan on contributing to their cause for the download as it is freeware.

Mark in Cape Coral Florida Guest | Go to http://www.zamzar.com and follow the four step process. You can convert almost any file type to almost any other file type for free. This way you don’t have to download and install any software. Hope this helps. -mark

Bob21946 Guest | Wow! I see this was talked abot YEARS ago...No matter. I just wanted to say thanks. I have the Kodak 6330 and the conversion/compression tool that seg5 gave the link for works GREAT! You can choose the amount of compression you want and once it’s converted you can compress it even more using Windows Movie Maker. I changed a 500 MB file to under 500 KB and it was still viewable as well as audible [well barely ;p]. Thanks again!
