DXGM codec

I have 3 video clips with *.avi extensions that i can not play. Using codec information software GSpot.exe, i got an answer that i need a codec caled DXGM. Any idea what it is and where i can downlod it from?

This is actually just divx format. They used video with this fourcc code in the video for the lord of the rings 3 game, and I wanted to watch it, so I simply Hex Edited the video files
you change the top two “dxgm” to divx and then save, and you’re set, using Ultraedit or another hex editor (don’t try that in notepad :P )

I get the video to play but there is no sounds

Any help? (WH 40k intro vid)

For WH40k, using Gspot shows no audio stream present, the same goes for all the .AVIs with the game. The audio is probally taken from an .SGA file or something, the .LUAs don’t point to any specific one(s) unfortunately.

just found out you can download the intro movie at
www.filerush.com (legal!)

just scroll down a little ways...it’s there and it’s just oh so f***ing good!

I have successfully played the video now, WOW Game Intro and Logo videos, i used hackman editor to edit it and it worked. The whole video..thanx for the info Hydra..!

you must replace all entrys in the video file with word DXGM in the new DIVX...must to use Ultraedit 32! video and sound are perfect with WOW_Intro_1024 of cinematics converted and i can open it with all player...bye
