incomplete .wmv or.mpg files

I know it is possible to play incomplete .avi files, but is it possible with .wmv or .mpg

you can play incomplete *.mpg without any soft but the total time of mpg will be showen shorter, so you can’t jump directly to the end of the movie
incomplete *.wmv is playable too but you can’t jump in the file - you must see 'whoole incomplete' movie.
for avi i prefer divfix, avipreview doesn’t play movies in good quallity

playing incomplete mpg and wmv is tested by me on Win9x/ME/XP (you must have only codecs for video - i hope:-))

you can play incomplete wmv files with no problem using windows media player classic (some version, i dont remember which)
