mkv audio stream

Hi
I’ve downloaded few days ago a large .mkv file.
My prob is that when i watch it i can’t really hear
the speach - i hear the fx.
when i try to use “dvd santa” 2 convert 2 dvd i get
and “unspported audio stream”.
i’ve downloaded every codec and pack for Matroska out there.
