Regular Rep: 5 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,269 | I’ve never been too fond of Gabest’s error messages in Media Player Classic. They are long and contain GUIDs, which are gibberish to 99.99% of the population. Fourcc’s are shorter and usually more helpful.
I’d suggest feeding the file into a diagnostic utility such as avicodec (http://avicodec.duby.info), gspot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot), or videoinspector (http://www.kcsoftwares.com/index.php?vtb) to find out which codec(s) you’re missing.
P.S: I noticed the line “biCompression: FPS1”. FPS1 is the Fraps codec. Could this be it? If you get FPS1 in gspot or avicodec too, get Fraps from here
