cv Guest | Why do DVD’s I burn play perfectly on my PC, the menus work and everything. But the DVD player says 'Cannot play this disk'. It can play DVDs that other people burned. The player even says:
DVD +RW/+R
DVD -RW/-R
on the front of it. I’m simply using Roxio-drop and-drag with a Plextor 708uf.

Marcus Aurelius Guest | If you read what the Drag to disk is doing you’re going to understand. It’s using the dvd as a floppy disc and can be read by any drive from a computer but the standalone dvd player. What you have to do with an avi file find out what type is it and convert it to dvd. After convertion you’re going to have a video ts folder and with this you can burn a dvd using Roxio dvd builder. Never use Drag to disk other than storage for data. Here is a link to how to guides read about it and save your dvd’s.http://www.afterdawn.com/index-menu.cfm

cv Guest | Yes, it was the drag-to-disk that was the problem. I used Classic Creator instead, dragging the file to the window and the disk played on the DVD player. Thanks.
