i dxdiag and it said in the sound section that no sound card was found
how do i add a sound card??

please help!!

If you use WinXP remove the sound card from device manager and restart the computer, is going to find it and WinXp is going to install a generic driver for your hardware.If you use a different OS find the manufacturer site and download the driver for your card.If is a card problem you don’t have any sound on your pc if is a codec is just for an avi file.Download and install AC3 filter : http://www.free-codecs.com/download/AC3_Filter.htm

but how do i remove my sound card? in my device manager there is nothing called sound card..

If U don’t have a sound/audio card, that mean it is integrated with the motherboard.(AC97) I guess all U can do is 2 go 2 the web page of the motherboard manufacture n dload the latest driver. Still no sound..then U’ll have 2 take it back 2 the shop 2 have it fix.(If ur PC still have the warranty)
