reddevil1999 Guest | hi, i keep getting lines of red and green flickering dots on videos,on all video types accept quicktime video clips and have no idea how this happened, i have had my pc for 8 months with no problems then one days out of no where it just started to happen and really need help as i got no results from google

reddevil1999 Guest | ok all thanks for the help, I updated my graphics card but no improvent so i bought a new graphics card(radeon 800XL) and a new sound card, because the sound goes fuzzy sometimes! i will give u an update when it arrives, thanks | |

Regular Rep: 6 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,286 | Try disabling hardware acceleration globally and see if it helps any. Right click on your desktop, choose properties, settings tab, advanced, troubleshooting, and drag the bar all the way to the left. It might not work until you reboot though. And note that turning off hardware acceleration will take a bit hit on video performance, so use it only when needed.
P.S: Are you guys having this on Radeon cards? | |

enlil Guest | I’m running a Radeon Mobility 9000. I put a fan next to the air inlet on my laptop and it seems to run a little longer before the issue starts so I’m thinking that it’s overheating. | |
