Apparently, there is very little info available for this kind of player and the firmware upgrades availables...
I got the firmware upgrade tool but no firmware to upgrade to...
I’ve been looking all around the internet with very little luck...
If u find something, tell the others...
Good luck !!!

these players are a generic design shared by many companies, there are slight modifications on different players and thats why the firmware is hard to get, there is not much known about these players except that they are all based on a sunplus chip

no fin, thats the problem with the sunplus chips, there format intake is so limited that most of the time only their convertor will do

you could use your mp4 player as a cctv dvr box, have one lead on tv in, another on tv out on a monitor with your finger on the record button,

also the chip in the player controls the format not the firmware, so no the video format cannot be changed

I used the PMP sunplus transcoder but my video ends like a mix of colored boxes...somewhat distorted colors of Red green and blue...

then i used Blaze video magic 2..the video worked well on my pc like as in perfect...but when i transfered it, it became distorted..like what it looks on the SUNplus PMP transcoder..

if anyone can help me on this pls email me

Hello,
Just bought my mp4 player sunplus in China. For fun (and to repair a clock problem on the mp4), just flashed it with the tool provided in the cd. My MP4 seems dead : I am happy! Can anyone help me?

Thanks very much
