BTW- if u convert an avi to a dvd file(vob) and then convert it with the Sunplus Transcoder the video is quite small and good quality. YOu can use DivxtoDvd (free download- just google it!) to convert your mpg, avi watever to dvd form...

I found this much better then converting the avi straight off- hope this helps...

How do u record telivision with the PMP- i have read the manual and i understand how to connect it up, but how do you record or get TV to show up on the PMP? If you connect it into, eg. AV4, and then press AV4 its just black... what do you do next?

Soz for asking so many questions...!

finn: you must attach the mp4 to an av out on a device, some tvs do this over scart, in which case you need a scart to composite convertor with a switch for in/out. (the one off your playstation etc... wont work)

that seems odd, try converting your video to 320x240 resolution with mp3 audio and a divx codec at 600kbps first, then see

Well if you want to make the file size smaller, you can simply decrease the video dimensions. The SunPlus PMP Transcoding tool doesn’t support this, but Blaze Video Magic does. You can drop it down to 320x240 and set the quality to 60-80% and get a fairly small file that still looks good on your player.
