Leo_the_Lion Guest | Hi voxj, I tried the process u suggested for the still pictures and they came out perfectly. One problem, though, was that the cropped pictures appeared stretched out of proportions. What size or dimension should i use?

for no distortion, you need to have the picture in the same proportions as the screen, 4 units wide by 3 units high
I have emailed you the other items requested

RebelWolf Guest | brokencase,
Can you tell me which build of FFmpeg your using, so I can try your settings? You’ve obviously gotten farther with that method than I did.
pitmanj,
He’s useing a .bat file to call FFmpeg (the compressor) and vidtoasf (writes the asf file) to create the movie. The major difference between this method rather than just using Sunplus is that you have a lot more control over the output. The downside is that the MP4 players are very particular about the format they will work with, so “perfect” settings are critical to makeing this work.

I tried the encoder u emailed, but i am still having the problems. The converted video still comes out as a jumble of the colored boxes and a 20MB file when converted becomes 285MB in size, and i won’t mention its not saving in a folder that i tell it to. Would like help in overcoming these problems, please.

pissed off canadian Guest | I got an mp3/4 player and installed/used the sunplus conversion software but It converts to the wrong resolution: the player has a 320 x 240 display yet the program converts to 352 x 240 which makes the image appear to be squished horizontally (jamming too many pixels from the file width wise into the 320 pixel limit on the screen) I also checked the file on my pc and it also appears to be squished. Anyone able to help me? I just want the pmp tool to compress the video at the proper aspect ratio for the proper screen size. I feel as though they simply made a mistake in typing in the screen size for the programming -.-

confusedjxd Guest | Hello, i just bought a jxd 638 and am not sure how to use the cd that was sent with it (it is a small cd and my computer of course only has a drive that is for cd or dvd size discs) so i am not sure how to use the product- do i need a driver or do i need to convert files to a different type — there is a disc of games with a nes extension that i cant figure out how to open or how to transfer to the pmp — can anyone help?
