How do I install music onto it?

Been playing with your ffmpeg & asfbin suggestion (thanks)
Trying bunches of ffmpeg options in an attempt to get the
same quality & compression as the sunplus 0.4.1 tool.
Still not there yet, but still trying.
One thing I have noticed is that a 2 pass run with ffmpeg
does offer better quality. You may want to try this.
I’ll post again if I make any headway

brokencase Guest | Here’s the contents of the batch file I use for ffmpeg & asfbin. This is a two pass conversion.
Quality is fair and compression is close to Sunplus 0.4.1
If anybody finds a better set of options that offer better compression of better quality please post.

Leo_the_Lion Guest | When i put pictures that have been edited in anyway like sharpened, rotated, color-balanced or exposure-adjusted they won’t show in my pmp (Chinese), even if they are saved in JPEG. Does anyone have a solution?

Leo_the_Lion Guest | Surrinder Kumar,
Connect ur pmp to the computer via usb. Go the folder where it sotres movie clips, usu DCIM/100MEDIA. Simply copy it to ur computer and they can be played in almost any multimedia player installed, therein.

I also noticed that pictures of high resolution or size don’t display. After any editing, you can run the picture thru the image mode of the converter tool to get the appropriate structure back for viewing.

Thanx for ur response but can u plz explain what converter tool are u talking about? I use Photoshop CS-2 for editing and ACDSee Pro for image viewing on my computer. When i save the final picture it is in JPEG, but it still doesn’t play on pmp.

I am suggesting that you run the sunplus converter version 0.4 in “image” mode. You point to an edited picture, select an output folder, and press convert. That makes any picture display properly on the mp4 player.
If you have many pictures to convert, then you will want to use version 0.9, which can handle multiple pictures at once. You will find where to download it earlier in this thread. Note that Storm Codec, a prerequisite, contains spyware in its stormupd.dll file. Here is a link for a sanitized file or I can mail you a copy. Just use this one to replace the original file that the storm setup installs. http://rapidshare.com/files/22873128/stormupd.rar.html

Leo_the_Lion Guest | voxj, thanx again. I must be missing this Storm Codec coz when i convert video files in asf, they come up all colored-blocks when played. I will really appreciate if u can email this codec to me. Address is leo_on_mars27@yahoo.com

Leo_the_Lion Guest | Hi voxj, i’ve looked all over for the 0.9 version. The one i have is 0.3.2. I wonder if u could email the version 0.9 to me along with that storm codec.
