Hobsons Choice Guest | HI all,
I hav elooked everywhere for a solution to this so maybe somone here has had the same problem.
I downloaded a movie, “7 seconds” , but there is no sound.
Gspot says i need the codec
0x0055(MP3) ID’d as MPEG-1 Layer 3.
i downloaded an mpeg1 layer 3 codec but still no joy, is there a particular codec that fixes this or do i need to remove all my cods and upgrade?
thanks, I’m sure i wn be alone with this query.

Marcus Aurelius Guest | MPEG-1 Layer 3. is included in this from the link I gave you:http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPEG_Layer_3_Codec.htm and Frounhofer is included in any codec pack All in One or XP Codecs or K-Lite.Be sure reinstall Xvid and Divx.If you don’t have sound only for one file try a different player like VLC or BSplayer if is no sound on your pc reinstall the driver for your sound card.

Zygger Guest | Hi just to say i had the same problem using winamp and found that
downloading VLC the way forward, altho i found that re installing the fraunhoffer mp3 codec sorted the problem so now Winamp and all media players work fine. heres a link to a useful codec package.
