CAB9474 Guest | I know I’m probably a little slow with the technology out there but can someone explain what it means when there is a little round seal on the cover of a dvd and it says, “dts9 Region Quality?" I bought a few DVD’s that have this and two of them seem to work fine but one of them does not...does this dts9 thing have anything to do with it?
Thanks... | |

Marcus Aurelius Guest | DTS9 or Surround 9 is a Uncompress DTS 1536kpbs sound, 9.77mb/sec. On market you can find factory sealed dvd’s with demo in Surround 9 from Hero Blue Room. The next one DTS-HD is going to be the best started from from the “old” 5.1.So break your piggybank and buy a plasma tv with a DTS9 feature.

TomTheBoss Guest | DTS9 is a Chinese company that seems to have a license to release Disney/BVHE titles. I don’t believe the license bit though since I don’t think that Disney/BVHE will have their movies release without region coding. To me it looks more like very well pirated discs.
