to burn vcd..or kvcd to cd..use alcohol120....altho the disc is 700mb..u can still fit over 700 to a normal cd..using alcohol 120

You can use NERO to burn avi files, burn to a cd-r disc it...The disk will hold about 700M or 80 minutes you can edit with the movie with a cut future in NERO...Or to view movie I simply hoock my computer to my t.v with a s-video cable, great graphics..

hey im having a little trouble here

i recently downloaded a movie in avi format and converted it into mpeg 1 format. The first time i tried it, it went from about 730mb into 500 mb. This worked by changing the width to 352 and changing the height to 240. But now when i tried it with another movie, it doesnt work anymore. The movie was around 730 mb and it only went down to 720mb. wat should i do to make it fit onto a 700 mb cdr?

I have a canon SD 400 that I have taken many video clips with. The clips are taken in .avi format. I want to render the video in Vegas 6, but when I try to open the files with vegas it will only open the audio portion of the file. The file plays just fine in windows media player though. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get Vegas to cooperate???

A while ago my cousin burned me a couple of movies she had downloaded, onto normal cd discs. Unfortunately they were all avi files. I tried playing them on Windows, real, quicktime, etc. Until finally I tried Intervideo WinDVD creator. It’s not a player, but when I opened up one of the avi movies it worked. You can even watch the movie in full screen

have read the thread and am converting my files with winavi video converter but is showing the preview upside down is this normal?

and having real problems with nero there are a couple of new files that i have downloaded and it gets to the end of transcoding them and then freezes and won’t write them but the clock keeps going so it’s not the programme that has frozen. please can someone help but i am very novice and don’t understand alot that why i use nero because it is easy

i downloaded the file k lite codec pack that someone said that this would make me be able to transfer torrents on to DVD’s and i can’t get it to work please help

I am looking to burn some downloaded avi files onto a DVD disc without converting them...i.e., keeping them at the size they are now. I was hoping that my 200MB files could be kept as is and then stored on the 4.7 G DVD discs. That’d be upwards of 20 files per disc.

I have a DVD burner, Nero 6 software, etc... but not a ton of knowledge about this.

Is it even possible to do this? I tried already to put my files on it, but Nero was only putting 3 or 4 on the disc before saying I was over the 4.7 G maximum storage capacity. I only need to play these on the computer via Windows or WinAmp or DivX or one of about six players on the machine. I do NOT need them to be playable on a standalone DVD machine.

first u need to download a convert which ca convert AVi file to mpg Files then once uve convertd ur video use nero to burn it 2 vcd den it shud work on most dvd players if u got a new dvd player buren it 2 a dvdrw coz dey can fit more memory

Hey pepez. Jus a question. I know i have to convert AVI to MPEG format to watch on a DVD player, using some programs....u get the point. Lets say i want to fit 3 AVI movies on one DVD converting to MPEG, can this be done, will it play on a DVD player. Usually its just one MPEG file per CD isnt it?

Hello Sir,

I have .avi files with audio 48 k which is standard dvd compliant audio...
The avi files are totalling to 4.33 GB and i want to burn them to a single DVD disc which i can then play on my DVD player.

I dont want to encode them as it takes time.

Can i have a way by which i can directly author these avi files to DVD without encoding/conversion?

I have done the same process using DVD lab for converting VCD (mpeg1) files, VOB and mpeg2 streams, whereby it converts the mpeg1 to audio/video streams, audio is transcoded to 48 k and video stays same and the vob file is created by using the 48k audio and same video.

However i want to experiment the same with AVI, XVID etc..

Please reply to my query??

i have a question/problem. i have nero. and every time i burn a dvd and put it in the dvd player nothing happens. i think im burning it wrong. i burn it as a data disc. cause everytime i try a dvd disc i put the file in the video_ts folder and it says not a compatible file. can someone please help me please..
