solomon26 Guest | I am gonna lose it soon, i have created a movie in Premiere Pro, I can export it as an avi, VCD, SVCD but I can’t burn it to DVD, I’m doing something wrong but don’t know what!!!! I have Nero and have tried burning it straight through there but with no luck. When I go to export to dvd, i choose a 7mb variable bit rate but during the transcoding it just stops, it’s not crashed but just stops half way! HELP ME!!!

Brian Larsen Guest | To use the same tread. Im also new to making dvd´s from other filee formats.
Anyone know, if i can burn mpeg4 format directly to an dvd , and then play it on my dvd player or is it only mpeg1 + mpeg2 formats, that allows it ?

Dino Guest | I have a questions.
First of all, i got lots of movies in my comp. and they are all in .avi format, but i looked everywhere to find converter from .avi to .bin and there are not converters like that. Ok so i found converter from .avi to .mpeg and my .avi movies is 699MB but when its converter into mpeg its 820MB which cant be fit on cd, even if i convert .mpeg into .bin and .cue. So my question is this:
Is there any kind of a program that converts .avi to .bin and stays the same quality and size so i can put it on my cd-r.
Thanks in Advance

Lee420 Guest | Um yes but you do understand that by turning that .avi file into a .bin file does not change the file format. Meaning if you did turn it into a .bin file and burn it, it would just put the .avi file on the disk and there would be no .bin files left. .Bin files is image of a disk. So really dont understand why you would want to do this. Just convert that .avi into a dvd format{thats .vob and .bup} files. But it will easily double in size and wouldnt fit on a cd-r anymore. See you download a movie in .bin and .cue form and you put it on a disk and it plays on your dvd player correct? The reason why is because it’s a replica of the original dvd. the files on there are .vob and .bup files because thats all your standalone dvd player recognizes. Except for .jpg inwhich is a picture file. Hope this help you some.

PaqMan Guest | Get the Neu Neo MPEG4 DVD player. I have one, and all my burned .avi files, divx and xvid.. whatever I throw at it, works fine. I bought one for $140, region free goodness.
I love this, but you could probably find something cheaper that does similar crap, but I don’t know about it, so i suggest my model.
There’s nothing like downloading episodes of American Dad and burning it, then watching it on TV in my living room.

Lee420 Guest | I just use a ATI graphics card and hooked it up to my t.v. and i dl a movie and play from my computer while a watch it in my living room. And having a nice video card allows you to do this and plus makes all the games look and play really nice. Just another option for ppl.

Skyler Guest | I use a program called DVD Santa. First I put the avi file in santa and make the files into VOB format then I take the VOB and put it in DVD Shrink
(another program) and burn it to dvd right there.
Hope that helps a little

johnnyboy Guest | I need too
I had a ** ****.avi movie and so i wanted to make a VCD
out of it. I used Nero Vision 3 to make the VCD and it gave
me all these great options like scene selection, menu
template and stuff. The encoding and burning went fine, but
when I tested the VCD in my DVD player, it just shows the
scene selection menu at the beginning of the of the VCD and
won’t let me play the movie. When i play try to play or fast
forward oranything at that menu, the DVD player won’t allow
me to. I tested it in like 3 different stand alone DVD players
and i wasted like 3 CD-R’s in this process. Can anyone tell me
what i’m doing wrong?
