If U burn the VCD on a CD-R, U will have 2 lower the burning speed. It’s recommended to burn at no more than 4x, if you burn at a faster speed this may impair the quality and make the video pixelated.

Well...it is burning at a speed of 16x but I have burn movies with the same type of file conversation at that rate before and never had a problem.

Try to play the vcd before burning and be sure you choose the right system for country you are in.Here is a list:http://kropla.com/tv.htm Opening the avi after convertion with Virtual Dub Mod or abc avitag can give you details about your vcd.Only if your vcd play ok sound and picture on pc start burning and if is something wrong is the setting for Nero. Also check the burnt cd on pc and if is working ok is your dvd player to blame.Eliminate one by one causes to find the problem.Burning the vcd as a data give you the same problem.Good Luck
