I do a lot of video editing of home movies and I am interested in putting stuff onto DVD. We bought and returned an external DVD burner a few months ago because the one DVD we made was terrible. The talking didn’t matchup with the lips and parts of the movie were jerky. I then realize that I had only made a VCD and that I had to buy some plugin to make a SVCD. I got confused and returned it. Can someone explain these differences to me and if the quality would improve in SVCD? I just didn’t understand why I couldn’t at least have the same quality as in the video. Any suggestions on burners and software?
