I was reading about people downloading the smallville premiere, but I am not sure where people are downloading from. Can anyone help me with this? I missed the premiere and would love to watch it before the next show.
Thanks.

Mark_311 Guest | people are downloading them with bittorrent clients, if you do some looking on the internet they will be able to explain the bittorrent system much better than i can.

JustAUser Guest | Hey kernelcored, Thanks!!!!! It worked for me...hhihi I renamened it to, in avi, mpg, wma everything but didn’t think of rar.....
for anyone else who missed the message:

i got it. if u download the FQM release.. do this :
1. extract the original .tar to a directory.
2. the file extracted will be extensionless.
3. add .tar extension to the end of the file name
4. and then extract the content (suppose to be a directory with a lot of rar files in it...)
5. find the first file extracted with the .rar extension, and extract that.
6. you will get the final .avi files with it
takes me while to figure this out..
as a conclusion, the downloaded .tar with the original FQM release was Segmented RAR in a TAR in a TAR (RAR>TAR>TAR)..

davedurg05 Guest | ok download
Smallville.S05E01.Arrival.HDTV.XviD-FQM.tar
extract that file which will contain one file with no extension.
put the file extension .tar onto it
then
open the tar file with winace archiver, and it will contain 25 files with the file extensions .r00 , .r01 , .r02 etc extract these files into a folder and then go to that folder and right click on the file called .r00 and extract it that will then merge all the files together giving u the final .avi file which works

Sarah1980 Guest | Augh! Same with me (again!).
I wish people would encode in something other than divx. Iwouldn’t mind larger files or anything. This is driving me nuts! I’ve downloaded the file twice and cannot find any other file to download.
The file, when I expand the details on the computer, says it’s 355Mb, but when you click on properties it says it’s only 347Mb (like listed through edonkey). When it tries to play in winamp, the playtime displays as -16:-40.

Piper Guest | I have the Gilmore Girls with the xvid.fov at the end I can’t even open the file. If I click on it to change the name I get a Windows Explorer error or if I try to play it through a media player, the same error comes up. This is the third one I have downloaded so I suspect all the torrents have the same file.
Can anyone suggest anything for this issue? Its Gilmore Girls 604.
Piper

Jess Guest | A “celtic druid binary” (search in google) codec will play fov files. (which may be a fancy name for xvid-1.0.3?) Yay!
