alright. well im having the same problem i think. i downloaded smallville and the file’s got xvid_FoV in it. and im pretty sure it’s not a broken/corrupted/compressed file because when i went to the folder where the file is located, some weird icon showed up in the tray for about 3 seconds before disappearing. and i placed the mouse on it and the message said Ogg Directshow Filter. I tried opening the avi with VideoLAN and it plays like a file thats corrupted: no video/audio and the time says 0:00:00/0:00:00. Opening with windows media player, it tells straight off that the file cant play. so im thinkin it’s missing some program or codec... theres hundreds of seeds for this file so im pretty sure it’s not fake.

Hello Smallville. smiley

Thanks a lot for the reply. I really appreciated it.

How about the problem I am experiencing with the download? Did you have to come across something like that? I am reffering to the case where bytes are download but they are not been shown in the completion tab. Although I might download ever 200-300% of the file in the completion tab they show that they are stuck (for example 0.7%, 40,2% etc). This is really strange since everything else works great and every other torrent (not smallville) apears to work ok. Also there are a lot seeds so it can’t be fake.

Thanks again for the reply,

Hi pedromartin,

I was finally able to download a file called Smallville 501 - Arrival.rmvb(is a realplay file) using another ISP. I don’t know if this is why this was succesfull but my guess is that some smallville torrent files have a very big problem.

Hope this helps you as well. Try to find this file and download it. The torrent name “Smallville 501 - Arrival[1].rmvb _-mininova.org-_".

Check it out. It might help.

Well I’m glad to know I wasn’t the only person with this problem!

I ended up changing from bt and edonkey to limewire. Great download speeds and the file actually plays!

I know it’s not the smallville episode that you’re all after (It’s a shame they shut down The Real World) but it’s worth a try.

It only took me 3.5 hours to download the 350Mb file too, so yeah. Maybe swapping download programs is worth a shot too?
Sometimes they offer a different range of files of the same type.

Thanks smallville,

I already tried bitcomet and azureus. I will give bittornado a try. Also for those that had problems try downloading the torrent

“b-mininova[1].org-d Smallville.S05E01.Arrival.HDTV.XviD-FQM”.

It takes a while to download but it does eventully downloads and it appears to work ok.

Thanks for all the info and help,

WMV n RMV r normaly much smaller than those of AVI or MPEG b cause of their compression technique. So..Quote: the file Smallville 501 - Arrival[1].rmv (the realplay one) its only 107mb though, is this the full version or is the quality poor?
Answer: Its a full vers!!!

Thanks, ive just seen the episode it is poor quality, its full version though. It keeps crashing all the time, which was really annoying because this seemed to be a great episode.

Did anyone else have this problem?
