decompressors VDEC

here is my problem

i recorded an avi using my computer cam a couple of years ago. now when i try to open it it tells me that it cant find 'vids: VDEC' decompressor.

i have 5 family vids and they all say the same thing. i cant seem to find anywhere to download the missing decompressor any help and i will have your baby lol thanks
