oldmurph Guest | having problems playing an avi file. audio is good, no problems, but video seems to stutter or hang from frame to frame, not in sync with audio.
have used g-spot to find codec and had 2 already installed.
stutters in wndows media player, gdivx, divx5 player, avipreview, and winamp.
any hints would be great.
ps - all other media plays perfectly in all players. this file is the only problem. if corrupt, how can i fix it

oldmurph Guest | dooley, i figured it out i think. too many codecs competing for default. uninstalled all codec and bundles, dropped and updated media players and started from scratch. used g-spot to find codec needed and installed only the ones i needed. haven’t seen the stutter since.
running pIII equiv on compaq presario 5000, 512 ram, nvidia g w\128 using Gdivx

GoD Guest | if you dont want to delete all your codecs just play it in VirtualDub and it wont stutter
