I want to burn my Premiere Pro project to a VCD. I have VCDEasy which will accept MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files. So, I use the media encoder in Premiere Pro to save my project, but the extension is .m1v or m2v, NOT .mpg or .m2p. What’s the story? Why won’t Premiere Pro make it a .mpg or a .m2p?

Thanks for your help!

Go to the Adobe MPEG Encoder, select Advanced, then click on the edit button. Choose a Preset, and go to the Multiplexer Settings tab. Select the MPEG format you want, close the screen and select Export.

Premier has 2 ways of MPEG encoding 1) creating two files, one for sound and one for video 2) creating a single file containing both.

I’m using Premiere Pro 2.0 and when I choose to export my movie file through the Adobe Media Encoder, there is no choice for MPEG2. I’ve tried everything thing, and I just can’t find it. What am I doing wrong here?
