Derek Guest | not yet. I do know that it is using the g711 codec which is not installed on my computer. If i use another program to play the file it wotks. I believe the codec was removed when fixing another problem and using dell tech support in India. They told me to delete some codecs and I just have not got the patients to call them again. If I uninstall the audio card and reinstall it I believe it will fix the problem. I will try it soon.

Umopepisdn Guest | Looks like this is an issue with Windows Media Player 9. There is a fix available for download in this knowledge base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=814127
Try it out and see if it works for you.

Derek Guest | uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the sound card. Also may have to reinstall wm9. This may involve uninstalling windows service packs.
