When I try to use the Xcopy platinum program to make a copy of the DVD I get an error message that the original DVD cannot be read. The program quits. I have looked through the settings and cannot find a place where I can get the program to skip over the error and continue reading.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Thanks,

To those who have DVD X Copy Platinum, this is from the moderator of dvdxcopy.afterdawn himself:
http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/98133

Copy/ paste these into your browser search window and click “GO” to the right. If you own and use DVD X Copy Platinum, you should read these pages. I have helped others get their copy of Platinum working but I have since removed DVD X Copy from my computer and switched to different software. I always recommend others switch to DVD Shrink and/or DVD Decrypter as (a) BETTER alternative(s).

DVD Shrink:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_dvdshrink.html

DVD Decrypter:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_dvd_decrypter.html

The downloads are at the right in the green box next to the arrow.

Guides to help you use these programs can be found here:
For DVD Shrink:

Guides for DVD Decrypter:
http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/dvdcopy/decrypter/decrypter.htm
http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvd-decrypter.php

For a THREE PAGE manual about DVD Decrypter, go to:
http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?postid=267300#post267300

TAG THESE PAGES AS “FAVORITES” SO THAT YOU MAY COME BACK TO REFER TO THEM LATER WHEN NEEDED!

If you use DVD Shrink, try this program in conjunction with it in order to get more use out of it. Once you get to the page, remember after you download the program to SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE COMMENT THREAD FOR IMPORTANT NUMBERS YOU WILL NEED!

Hope some or ALL of this helps someone out there!
