When I try to playing a .avi file with DivX Player, it says the file contains Video data: FOURCC code “VDEC” and I need to installa new video codec.
The file was created in 1997, I think with a QuickCam camera.
I look around the site and found info about FOURCC, but, I couldn’t find any codec to download.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Dave Lent

it’s indeed a codec that Connectix (before being acquired by Logitech) was using on their win3.x and windows 95 drivers to compress video with their quickcams. I’m also looking for a distribution that will work on XP.

if you find anything please let me know...
