hey folks this is the PERFECT STEP-WISE SOLUTION:
1. download http://www.codec-archiv.de/win/audio/tssoft32[Codec-Download.de].zip
2. unzip to c:\windows\system32
3. rename your old tssoft32.acm to tssoft32OLD.acm
4. rename the new unzipped file tssoft32[Codec-Download.de].acm to tssoft32.acm
5.check whether this tssoft32.acm shows up in device manager->sounds-videos-codec->audio codecs->>properties
6.now remove your old yahoo messenger setup with COMPLETE remove option (WARNING:do not repair or use advanced remove)
7.download and /or INSTALL the ymsgr7us.exe from http://us.dl1.yimg.com/download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr7/us/ymsgr7us.exe
8. HURRAH ENJOY PERFECT VOICE CHAT..and send me a e-mail folks

Chrystal Bare Guest | Please help. I have msn messenger 7.0. I can talk via audio and everything is fine. But when I do a video conversation the sound is awful. It sounds like a race track and there is a echo. And when the person says something I get a sound like dat dat dat. I had msn 7.5 and it was worse. I have tried reinstalling the camera, adjusting the sound and settings. I have tested the mic and speakers they are all fine. Does anyone know the way to fix this? Also I am not the most knowledgeable person as far as computers go, so please if you know how to fix this. Can you give me step by step instructions. I would be so very grateful. Shreeram Iyer Guest | Hey folks ! Some of the guys out here still HAVE problems about the VOICE CHAT !.i referred a friends situation and came up wit this WORKING solution
1. AGINST WHAT I HAD PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED... CHANGE THE OLD TSSSOFT32.ACM to tsssoft32.old INSTEAD OF WHAT I STATED AS TSSSOFT32OLD.acm
2.PLEASE INSTALL ONLY THE YAHOO FILE I MENTIONED WITH PREVIOUS VERSIONS COMPLETELY REMOVED...:-( sorry abt ur old file records guys !
3.use yacswiz.exe from yahoo.com to configure / setup audio
4. THE MAIN PROBLEM LIES IN tsssoft32.acm which DOES NOT SHOW UP IF U HAVE tsssoft32OLD.acm .. which is ur old file but works WHEN RENAMED TO TSSSOFT32.old
5. HURRAH ! ENJOY AND SEND ME AN E-MAIL AGAIN FOLKS FOR ANY HELP :-)

REMEMBER THAT for voice chat any ymsgr******.exe gives u error EXCEPT ymsgr7us.exe which i have ststed in my first article and the site to get it also !

I used Yahoo Messenger ver 6 and recently upgraded to 7,0,0,438. after i upgrade, i can’t do audio chat and worse i can’t even see the CALL button in the Yahoo Messenger.
But my soundcard is working fine , i tested by downloading Skype messenger service.
Is there any solution, please let me know

What should I do if i do not find the file tssoft32.acm in the audio codecs properties ?
Can I proceed with uninstallation /installation process ? Will the problem be solved by just completely uninstalling the older version and installing the new version of the messenger ?

Shreeram Iyer Guest | I am not sure if yahoo installer installs tssoft32.ac i sys32 dir as IT IS A 3RD PARY / MS WINDOWS COPYRIGHT ( UNCONFIRMED)
ANYWAY BELOW U CAN MANUALLY INSTALL THE tssoft32.acm file in sys32 dir from links below

IN CASE U ALREADY HAVE tssoft32.acm in sys32 dir delete it ( no risks i suppose ! )

5.check whether this tssoft32.acm shows up in device manager->sounds-videos-codec->audio codecs->>properties

REMEMBER IT IS TERMED TECHNCALLY AS "AUDIO COMPRESSION CODECS"
IF it does not show up in AUDIO codecs properties try other codecs in ur system
ADD AUDIO CODECS USING WINDOWS COMPONENTS ( CONTROL PANEL > ADD / REMOVE PROGRAM> ADD COMPONETS OPTION )
OR
USING UR MOTHERBOARD DRIVER CD which has all new common codecs

now wen signed in if u sign out n sign in with a unew name this error may occur
OR u may have been signed in on a mobile/cell phone.
reinstall yahoo and check ur net connection
USE YAHOO HELP or mail YAHOO DIRECTLY
