playback probs on div x player

Hi. I have burned an avi file to a disc to play on my yamada divx player. The video plays but audio runs out of sinc or is muted. The file plays ok on my windows media though. I think its something to do with the file not being a genuine divx file. Any ideas? Is there a way to load a code into the yamada to allow proper audio playback from this movie?? Cheers for any help.
