The Real labish Guest | The way was done might be in a wrong video system and your dvd player is not multisystem. On laptop you may use a region free or a software playing Pal/NTSC.What you can do if your standalone dvd player is working only one system first find out looking at labels or owner’s manual and after that put the dvd in your laptop use dvd decrypter and transfer the dvd on pc.After that you may convert it from a system to another using any video converter like WinAvi or something like that.

labish Guest | Yes but before start again from avi to dvd try to play the avi and if is ok sound and picture convert it and set the converter output on what system you like.Click on advanced next to output if you use WinAvi and checkmark your choices. Here you have some tools from vob to avi.http://www.videohelp.com/tools?convert=VOB%20to%20AVI
