m2v to mpeg-1

Hi im having trouble converting m2v to mpeg. Im using tmgenc but it says format not supported. I’ve tried renaming the file to mpg but it still says the same message. please help me and try breaking it down as simply as possible coz im not very good at any of this stuff.

I’ve had this same problem but its very simple in fact... go to file>mpeg tools. If you’re trying to simple multiplex the files choose the simple multiplex tab. This will allow you to import m2v file without a problem. Don’t import any audio and save it as am mpg file from there.
