Alright, I’ll start at the beginning to give a little background upon this issue. I have a damaged disc for the PC version of Final Fantasy VII. The game will always crash on this one bit of video so what I’m planning to do is use this registery hack (http://www.ff7-universe.com/Downloads/FF7Movietweak.txt) to have a different movie from the crashing one on the hard drive. My plan is to have a video file of the same length and in the same format that is anything, white noise or something. I need a VFW codec for VirtualDub to do this. GSpot says it should be TM20 or TrueMotion 2.0. I think FFDShow supports this but I don’t know how to get VirtualDub to know about it. Anyone know where I can get the codec or of another solution. Codecs confuse me so if anyone can explain how it all works that would be good too.

TIA,
Frankie.
