I downloaded The Seventh Seal (movie) through bittorrent last night, and it finished this morning. The problem is, I don’t know how to open the file. The icon next to it looks the exact same as a “bin” or “cue” icon does, but it only lists it as a “file” not “bin file” “cue file” etc.

I am wondering how I could find out what type of file it is and/or which program to use to open it so I can play it as a movie file. I have VCDGear, but I don’t know if that will be the proper application to use in this instance. Hopefully someone understands what I mean, and can help me out. Thanks

I have files similar to what ur tallking about. The way i got it to play was by opening it with windows media player and ignoring the “unrecognizable files” pop up and playing it anyway. You can manipulate virtually any file to play with windows media player. If you have no sound or picture try a divx codec. And if that doenst work download a file converter that converts uncommon files to .avi, .wmv, or .rm. Hope that helps.

The Seventh Seal movie made 1957 on BT is listed as a Xvid format.Look at the title of your download and learn about it.Xvid means after unrar all the files you are going to get an avi file in Xvid format.VCD/SVCD in your title is going to give you a cue/bin files DVD rip you’re going to have a vob or a pair of video ts/audio files. So if is Xvid in order to play it you need a Xvid pack DivX pack and some players like VLC and BSplayer that work with Xvid or a pack with all the stuff from above. Here is a link and good luck:http://www.free-codecs.com/
