-No detection of DVD-R in drive-

Facts:
- SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-325F
- Verbatim Advanced AZO+ DVD-R 16x 4.7GB/120min.
- Nero Burning ROM

Problem:
Whenever I insert a DVD-R into my drive it is unable to detect it.

However if I insert an Imation CD-RW 700MB it can easily find it.

My optic drive should be able to burn DVD’s. I have often watched dvd’s on it, and I have never had a similar problem where it couldn’t find a DVD.

I have also without any problems been able to burn video and music onto a CD-RW.

I have bought 50 new DVD-R’s 4.7GB because I wanted to clear out my harddrive of downloaded dvd’s (avi.files), but I can’t as long as the drive is unable to detect the DVD-R.
