feith Guest | i can’t play a certain avi file. i try to play it in vlc media player and all it doesn’t work. i tried to play it in windows media player classic and it says that it can’t render the file. i ran gspot and it says the file type is unknown. can someone help?!? any help would be greatly appreciated!! | |

Tina Guest | Try with an other program that analyses video files (AVIcodec or videoinspector) If they can’t recognize it either the file probably is broken or uses a rarely used codec.
Codec packs can sometimes give you more problems than you had before (bad picture quality, sound and picture not sinc.) | |

If is a download might be a rar’s colletion and have to use WinRar to extract it.If is an iso or bin won’t play either.Iso and Bin are image files for cd ready for burning.So what’s your extension: avi iso bin or what?
