There are some files I am trying to play - that you must connect to the server with a current version of WMP 10 to play.
The server runs some kind of “check” to see if you are actually using WMP 10 or not. If you are not - you get a pop up telling you to update. Seeing as how I dont want to update to WMP 10, this could be a problem - but here is my proposed solution...
There is a program called Promixotron - it can “lie” to the web servers you connect to - and tell them you just came from a different page than you really did, it can “lie” about the operating system you are using, and it can lie about the browser you are using.
I’m wondering if anyone knows a way to “lie” to a server and tell them you are using WMP 10, when you are really using something else.
Does anyone know if this is even possible - and if so, might you be able to recommend a program to assist me in this?
