playback only

i have tried using dvd santa to burn some movies, and have done this to the letter
everything seems to go o.k and i get the message at the end that simply says “done”

my problem is that when i put in to any of my dvd players i get the same message saying “playback only " i have tried all different brands of dvd-r discs, but all seem to come up with the same answer.
any help would be very welcome

i’m sorry but i should have added that the movie does not play
