I am having a whale of a time trying to figure out what to do with this bit torrent of the second seasn of friends that I downloaded. The torrent itself was titled:
Friends[1].S02.iNTERNAL.DVDRip.XviD-iND
When I completed the download I got in each episode folder, around 12 rar files that when extracted give me .ogm files that cannot be played on any software I currently have, like this
friends.s02e01.internal.dvdrip.xvid-ind.ogm
Has anyone out there encountered this type of file before. I would like to string all of the parts together and burn them to a dvd in either .avi or .mpg format. So how would i go about first reading the .ogm format (which I have never encountered before) and then fuse the files together to make a complete episode? Then convert the files into a more reconizable video format? I can figure it out from there. Anyone with any specific knowledge on the subject that care to take the time to help me out would be much appricated. Thanks.

i think you got the rar part sorted out, since you were able to extract the file (if it had missing parts or was corrupt you’d be told).
ogm is just a container, like avi mov or wmv. There are ways to get windows media player to play ogm files (see lazy man’s guide here http://ld-anime.subforge.net/guide/ogm-en.php ), but it’s often best to use an alternate player, such as media player classic (www.gabest.org - follow the links) or vlc (www.videolan.org). If it complains about missing codec, feed the ogm file into gspot (www.headbands.com/gspot) or avicodec (http://avicodec.duby.info) to find out which one you need.

Thank you for the help so far. I have got the file playing and working on my computer. As far as the next step I was wondering if there was anyway to change the file into an avi, mpg, or dvix format that my dvd player will play. I’d really like to get them on disc. Thanks.
