putting more that 1 vob file on dvd

i have recently video`ed a wedding for a friend on mini dvd`s 1.4g gig i think they are. But now i want to put them on to 1 dvd , tried movie factory 3 but although each dvd is only about 800meg it says it about nine gig when it trys to join them so it wont do it anyone know of anyother programs or anotherway to do it as all the files on the three disks are named the same in thier relative vidoe files , help..................................
