mp4 video file, Can't open any external subtitles!

posted in Subtitles, viewed 3484 times

Hello,

I have strange problem with movie saved as mp4 file. This movie is in Korean language and has Turkish built-in subtitles. I don’t know both languages so I tried to use English subtitles (downloaded from opensubtitles website).
Unofortunately all subtitles (about 5 different versions saved as .srt and .txt) can’t be opened together with this movie. I tried to use Bestplayer (error that can’t open these files, not supported), Allplayer (can’t open, no error visible) and Media Player Classic (I changed subtitle’s file name to the name of the movie but still can’t see them).
The only software which was able to open subtitles was VPN player, but he show these subtitles exactly on built-in Turkish subs...so they are unreadable (it seems there is no option in VPN player to move subs more up or down).

Do you have any suggestion? Why I can’t open any subs together with mp4 movie? Maybe you have some solution to remove built-in Turkish subs from the movie so I could use VPN player after all?

Thanks for any suggestions. reply
