Movie Maker Codec for AVI

My 1gb camera is only playing audio because something about codec is not found can someone help me.

Your camera probably doesn’t support one of the things you’ve done with it’s video.

If you’ve edited it with Windows Movie maker, and transferred it back to its storage media it could be one of a few things.

1) The resolution
2) The video codec
3) The speed used in the video (PAL vs NTSC)
a) Pal is at 25 Frames per second
b) NTSC is at 29.970 Frames per second
4) The transfer may have not completed or it partially completed and wasn’t ever finished.
5) The file’s container may not be supported.

You have to download the ffdshow mpeg-4 video decoder from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm if it doesn’t work.
