Movie Maker Codec for AVI

I dunno why but I did this before and only NOW does it have the unchecked box that I needed.

But whatever it WORKS! and I’m HAPPEH!!!!

I downloaded ffdshow-rev and another one but it doesn’t show up in the compatibility folder.

I didnt have the codec so downloaded it and saved it in any random folder on my computer. I then came back to it and double clicked to install it, somewhere...and then i kept clicking next until i got to the end and openend with a video thing. then i restarted movie maker and BINGO!

I had a video on my mini dvd camera. I installed the software that it came with and had the same problem, no codec and couldn’t get into movie maker. Before I found these answers, I figured out to use this dvd camera software to save as a wma file. Got into movie maker but now that i created a video, when I burn on a dvd, now it will play on the computer but will not play in my tv dvd player - says codec not supported. How do I get back into the file format where it will play on the dvd player? Please help...
