Got a g5Mac. Friend gave me Dark Side of the Moon soundtrack dubbed over The Wizard of Oz — via External HDs from his PC — really want to watch it. I have WMD (not Weapons Mass Destruction), and Quick Time, and probably something else on this machine that I don’t even know about, however, can I indulge in the Dark Side/Oz through an AVi ?

C:\Documents and Settings\Christian\Desktop\testness.avi could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box.

How do I fix this???

Once you download the ffdshow, what do you do with it and where do you save it to?

Here’s where you get it:
http://www.free-codecs.com/FFDShow_download.htm

But then what? I’ve put everywhere I can think of but WMM still won’t import the AVI file.

This DID NOT work at all — it was a waste of time.

Problem: opening an AVI file in Windows Movie Maker

Solution: unknown

I have a problem with my movie maker. At first I couldn’t import any videos so I downloaded a codec pack. Now I can import videos, but when I drag them into the timeline/storyboard bar I can hear what’s being said on the clip but I can’t see anything. What should I do?

Changing the setting under Options Compatibality worked great. THANKS!

Most of us in the west don’t have much of a problem with the people its the leaders we are worried about.
