.bc is an incomplete bittorrent file. This has got nothing to do with extensions or whatever you guys are suggesting. Until you finish downloading that file in bittorrent, there is no way that you can play it. You can try installing MPCplayer which is a bittorrent addon, the player plays these files reasonably well, but may freeze at times because of incomplete parts.

here’s a suggestion. if you’re using BitLord as torrent client, go to Options > Preferences > Task. then remove the tick from the option “Add .bc! file extension for incomplete file”. That probably would do the trick. I haven’t tried it yet since most of most my downloads do complete the task.

Ok, one at a time....

Ronrochie & Angryneewbie,

try having the torrent program open and have it re-check the torrent (Force recheck on some)

It’s possible it didn’t finish, if it did, either you’re missing the needed codec, or the file is a fraud.

hosam,

BC files are bitcomet incomplete downloads, open bitcomet and the torrent, to finish the download, if it says complete, re-check it and the current destination of the download.

I know this isnt exactly the answer to the main question, but i think it will solve the root of the problem, how to open files that havnt finished downloading. For most albums ive downloaded there always seem to be a few files that refuse to complete, well i found that if you go to the folder where they are downloading too, make a new folder here and put all the completed files in it, then go bcak to bitcomet, start up the download, all those files that you moved into the new folder will reappear at o%, disable all these in the priority box, then all those straggling files should complete with no problem, at least it always works for me, bye.

I did this and it says “this file does not appear to have a video track." Should I try a different media player? I am using Divx.

1.GO to any folder in your computer (for instance MY computer)
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Folder Options
4. Click on the View Tab
5. UNCHECK - Hide extensions for known file types
6. Click Apply to all folders

now the file should show up with the .bc extension at the end... JUST RIGHT CLICK AND HIT RENAME THEN DELETE THE .BC
