Hmmmm well thnx for the help guys =/

but i found out what was wrong for anyone else having any problems like this.......

Its Windows media player 10........Its Shit

just download winamp tho i hate having more than one media player...and i have never found any use for any apart from windows media player....as all codecs required to view .mov files or all other movies for quicktime or real player etc can be downloaded for windows media player so they can be played with out there supposed “required players”.

so again thanx 4 the help guys xD

I recently bought a Mustek DV 4000 video camera....

When i record movies, the file type produced are .asf that for reason will not play on my computer at all no matter what i try..... I downloaded a program called “avicodec” that told me that the video files needed the “ISO MPEG-4 version 1” codec to be playable.....so i downloaded the very first codec package on this page,
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx

i installed the package, and when i tried to use play the files again, the media player started up as if i’d only just installed the player not the codecs =S and the video files still didnt play =S

I have no clue why they do not play, i use WM Player 10, and windows XP Proffesional SP1, and my friend uses the exact same setup and the files play on his comp.......please help =D

Thanx
